Pixel Punch + Hauls

Day ten: One confession.

1. I'm a patient and caring person, but I think I've bottled up any anger or frustrations for so long, sometimes I feel like punching things. Yup... but I can tame my anger so no worried! I still can't harm a fly, but I think my head will explode one day.
   

Woo. I'm finally done with the 10 day meme (which took longer than 10 days!)...

I've been extremely exhausted the past few days. I can't really explain why. The default reason would be my workload, but even then I don't think I should be this tired. In fact I've been falling asleep while writing this.

I think I've mentioned that Mike and I have similar interests and have been planning to do joint-art related projects together because of that. We often bring up ideas, and discuss them. I'm glad I found someone to do something with! I've always wanted to do a joint or group project. Alone, I don't get too much done, but with someone else it's an extra push because someone is depending on you. I think he feels the same.

Well, Mike initiated it by saying we needed to design a logo. I thought he was joking, but he did make a doodle and it's our temp logo for now until we get more ideas & time. After that he joked about me lagging it since I haven't made anything, SO yesterday, I made us an e-mail, blog, and temp facebook page!

Pixel Punch

I set up our blog for our endeavours over at wordpress! Pixel Punch (Studio) . Pixel Punch on its own was taken, so we opted for studio. But, we're doing more than one thing so it can't be that bad. Worse case scenario is having to change the names.

Originally our first project was to set up a girl x boy band but I actually think our first project may be our comics. That's because we sat in Mike's car for the longest time discussing our ideas and how it'll work together. I'm excited!

Got those shoes! They tell everyone to size down because they run big, but I'm one of those unlucky cases in which that wasn't the case. It fits but a bit tight, but I'm somewhat ok with that because usually my shoes tend to get way too loose after I break them in. So, I just need lots of time to break these in.

^Have you heard of the brand Supreme? They're fairly big in Japan, and the states. Well, my brother works at a bowling Alley, but he meets people and happened to meet the guy(s) who run it. He got a lot of free swag (free clothes & shoes). He gave me these buttons. I love the description. It's so Engrish:

"The strong message on the back will make you courage!! "

Lace tights!

White cardigan & pink press/top. I usually wear black and muted/neutral colors so... this is new. I wore the pink dress/top on Tuesday and I was helping Mike mix paint. I accidentally got paint on it and that won't wash out! Mike felt bad and said he'd buy me a new one, but I don't really care... it's just paint! Plus it makes me feel a bit artsy (haha). But, I think I'll just somehow cover it with a ribbon.

Got a pedometer for working out and tracking my steps, etc! It's tiny.

I also went around looking for Nerdy/Buddy Holly glasses but had no luck. Instead, I found a store that sells Nyx products! I got concealer, and eyeliner. I really like the eyeliner! It applies easily and smoothly!

OH AND!

Our tickets for the Hello Kitty I Love Nerds Party came in this week! The event is on Saturday! I'm excited.

Also, next Saturday is the Hello Kitty "Kitty in Pink" 80s prom party! I asked Mike to go with me because 1) we both didn't go to our proms 2) we we're born at the end of the 80s. He joked about getting me a limo and making it the night I never had (aw).

Geek + Glam giveaway, Halloween + more!

Day seven: Four turn offs.

First things first, Mandie over at Geek + Glam = Love is having a give away! (One day I hope to have a give away too : p ). Anywho! She is pretty awesome, and likes pretty things, as well as videogames and other nerdy things, just like me!

So Halloween!

Steam has a Halloween Sale. I bought a few things to have on my account because they were dirt cheap (BioShock = $5, Plants Vs. Zombies = $5). I also got Chime ($5) because I've wanted to play it and it looked interesting. It's pretty amusing. It reminds me of the Tenori-On mixed with Tetris/a puzzle.

Does everyone have plans? Originally I didn't have any, but on a whim, my friend Mike and I are gonna go trick or treating! haha. We're both 22, but can pass as 17-18!

Today there was a Halloween event at my school. It acually didn't feel like I had school because I was running around everywhere! I had a group meeting for the Developer's Club, and then I had class but even then, my instructor let the class go down to the Halloween party for 15 minuets to get some food, since a lot of people were late to class.

David won "Best of Show" for the costume contest. I knew he would win something, that costume was pretty awesome. I also can say, I helped make that costume...just a little (I helped him iron on the ghost buster patches 'cause he doesn't know how to iron!)

I dressed up in a bit of a toned down Gothic Lolita. My friend Janet also dressed in Lolita (more sweet lolita) but was trying to make it work as Little Red Riding Hood. I didn't run into her though :(. Another friend, Sarah, happened to be wearing lolita-esque clothing too!

No picture of my outfit, but I did spend a lot of time on the make up (layered eye lashes for the first time!):

My animations continue! We did basic walk cycles, and then had to make a few others. I also had a zombie, but decided not to upload it since I'm not that happy with it.

I didn't go all out this week... because it was a pretty straight forward assignment... and I've been swamped in work. I'm trying to keep up with my deadlines. In fact I have a deadline tomorrow. I don't know why I'm even here blogging!

When I came home, I found these shoes in my room. My mom got them for me because she had some gift-certificates. They're really hard to get on because of that strap across the front - it makes it a weird angle I have to fit my feet through. I should have sized up maybe. They are nice though, and I was in need of boots for the fall (thank you mother).

Speaking of shoes, they are kind of my girlie- weakness (besides make up, ribbons, lace, & cute animal motifs).

The UO suede pumps are usually out of stock... but, they were in stock this time! AND! In the colors I wanted! PLUS, on sale! So though I feel guilty dishing out money, I think it was worth it since I've been wanting these for over a year.

I ALSO used part of my paycheck in the Valve store (valve game merchandise) + Steam (games). Darn you sale items! But, I did get three shirts on sale! and I need clothes (shameless excuses!). I'm still waiting for them to release The Sacrifice prints...

Lastly, Dtoid is having a contest where you have to draw the Dtoid robot on your body for a chance to win Dtoid-custom designed NOX headphones.

My friend Miles jokingly said I should draw it in my cleavage. I'm not that type of person usually, but I thought it was kind of funny. It didn't really come out how I wanted it to (drawing on yourself is hard sometimes) but I still think the little robot is cute haha. I'm actually debating if I should enter it, or re-think of another spot to draw him.
